RIO G4

The Pharos RIO G4 (Remote Gateway 4-Port) is a scalable Ethernet-based DMX gateway designed to add physical DMX outputs to Pharos lighting control systems. Featuring four independent DMX512 output ports, it provides a flexible and reliable solution for distributing lighting control data over an Ethernet network.

Designed for professional lighting applications, the RIO G4 connects seamlessly to Pharos controllers and can be easily discovered, configured and managed through Pharos software. Its compact enclosure, DIN rail mounting and installer-friendly connectors make it ideal for permanent installations in lighting control cabinets and architectural projects.

Each DMX output port supports 512 DMX channels, with independent galvanic isolation up to 2kV to protect connected equipment against electrical faults, ground loops and potential differences. The gateway also features self-healing DMX ports that provide additional protection against short circuits, voltage surges and incorrect wiring.

The RIO G4 supports RDM (Remote Device Management) for remote fixture discovery and addressing, and can also be combined with the Pharos SDI accessory to control serial protocols such as SPI for addressable LED products. Multiple RIO G4 units can be deployed on the same Ethernet network, allowing highly scalable lighting control architectures.
